I live in Palmdale, CA and work(ed) for Prime Security as a guard at Los Angeles World Airports Site 9. I haven't had a paycheck clear in the first 24 hours after receiving it since I started working for the company. I still can't cash my check from Oct 31st, I HAVE to have my rent paid by Monday, I am out of food for my kids, and only have enough gas in the car to get to town once. Wal-mart won't even touch this check, nor any check cashing stores. How do I get this thing honored? I was already terminated for telling the owner it was illegal to issue hot checks. I have already initiated a lawsuit for that and various other labor law violations. The problem is this-- the owner is not putting funds into the payroll account. My checking account has already been closed due to bounced paychecks. The bank they bank at, B of A, is only permitted to tell me that there are not sufficient funds in the account to cash my $328.52 check. I have a stack building of the check non-payment notification forms, but those forms are not putting food on my kids plate, or paying the rent to keep us from getting evicted.... Read More »
